Hiroyuki Horihata and Makiko Sekiguchi, the design duo

who in 2005 launched the label Matohu,

presented a 1920s-esque inspired collection for

Japan Fashion Week, Tokyo.

The collection featured knee length hemlines,

loose fit shifts/trousers, drop waist dresses,

to waist sweaters, pleats, brogues.

The clothing allows ease of movement,

a liberated attitude,   a contemporary viewpoint.
