Aspects of their progressive design mindset-

previsioned the coming of the computing age.

For the 1964 World’s Fair (NYC)

they displayed their multi-screen “Information Machine”.

Visitors could write a date on a card, feed the card into the machine

and the machine would offer the leading New York Times headline for that date-

certainly a rudimentary precursor of Google Search.

The World of Charles and Ray Eames

is a show not to be missed for its examination of

 multi-talented, multi-disciplinary creatives

Charles and Ray Eames-

whose mid-century modern design achievements are celebrated to this day.
