Let’s do it old school
with flash back tunes from ’70s disco / funk / dance band-
Founded in London, England by U.S. serviceman Johnnie Wilder-
the band was international in composition:
members hailed from England, the U.S., Spain, Czechoslovakia
as well as international in scope of fame:
recording several chart topping songs.

the band’s all here!
The band featured Johnnie Wilder and his brother Keith Wilder
as lead vocalists.
Sadly, in 1979, founding member Johnnie Wilder
was permanently injured in an automobile accident,
which left him paralyzed from the neck down.
He did remain as producer.
As a collective, the band had plateaued in the mid ’80s.
Members changed- moving on to
other musical projects / associations and the “heatwave” had cooled.
However, by 1988- Heatwave had re-emerged
with Keith Wilder again in lead.
Thankfully, the band still continues to bring “the heat”!
