are an anonymous collective.
Identifying the aesthetic sensibility of the clothes
is of more import than the individual identities of the designers.
Although the ‘who are they?’
information about the designers remain a guarded secret,
there is no question as to the spirit of the brand’s construct:
‘fashion- boundary push’, conceptual, minimalist, unisex denim wear.
Of interest is the brand name- the number 69
which within a contemporary interpretation of numerology,
alludes to the expected differences between partners of any relationship couple.
Yet also acknowledges a balance created, a yin and yang complement
generated by a full partnership, an equal exchange of ‘gives and takes’.
The 69 aesthetics of unisex clothing speaks to this numerological sense of
balance, equality, reciprocity.
