Since launching her eponymous label in 1973,

the name of German fashion designer

Jil Sander

has been synonymous with fashion minimalism:

clean lines

contained colour palette

style ease

maximum wearability

Now there is a developing generation of

minimalist me’s

on the Berlin fashion scene,

who are following in the design concept footsteps

of their acclaimed compatriot, Jil Sander.

Meet the design pair:  Johanna Perret and Tuttia Schaad of Perret Schaad

called “Jil Sanders’ daughters” by Julia Stelzner in her book Berlin Fashion;

their clothing is of quiet, simple elegance a la Jil Sanders.

Also on the Berlin minimalist fashion scene is the anointed

‘Prince of Minimalism’, Hien Le

who launched his label in 2010.

For spring/summer 2014 he remains true to the minimalist aesthetics

with a ray of ‘dawn in tropics’.
