Its check pattern of primary colours,

 in red, blue and black –

has adorned the plastic, two handle, top zipped

laundry carrier bag from time everlasting.

Now this distinctive, readily recognisable check was

spotted on the runway for a/w 2013 –

kitchen kitsch transformed to runway ready.

Phoebe Philo, creative director of French fashion house Celine and

British designer Stella McCartney

utilised the iconic check print on tops, skirts, coats and bags.
